Home for the Holidays..

Hi guys! How have you all been?
I'm finally back to Manila, Philippines for good after spending 5 years working in Singapore. Oh, I will miss Singapore so much! It's such a beautiful country, very clean, peaceful, good food & good people.. But I've come to a point in my life where I have to move on. I do have a lot of things planned for 2013, so watch out for it as it involves a lot of crafting :)
With my big move, I have to also packed up my things and I have a lot of stuff! Well it's 5 years so it was expected and you know how crafters get when it comes to our stuff.. lol.. So all my stamps and coloring materials are somewhere out in the sea getting here soon. I miss coloring :( With the absence of my crafting activities, I do have time to catch up with friends I haven't seen in a very long time so it's still good.
But before I left Singapore, I did a lot of cards and I'd like to share one with all of you. It's very simple, void of all the usual flowers and trinkets :) I wanted to focus on the image and my coloring. Hope you guys like it :) This is another image from the Nativity Collection which I adore so much :)

Advent has begun..

Today marks the beginning of advent. Now officially begins the excitement of Christmas as well.. And today is also my birthday :) No fancy celebrations coz I am not really a throw-a-party kind of chick so me and my friend will be going to Universal Studios to scare the bajeezers out of our wits and try all the extreme rides :) What a good way as well to round up all the places I need to visit before I pack up my stuff and head back home next week (actually this is the 3rd time I've been to Universal Studios).
Also starting yesterday, Magnolia has now opened their advent calendar and today is my day :) So please don't forget to leave a comment on this blog post in order to qualify for the prize package that Magnolia has generously prepared for you loving fans!

The Reason for the Season..

.. is because Jesus Christ our Saviour is born ..
I have received my DT package from Magnolia this week and I was very excited to do a lot of coloring and card making with the new Nativity Collection stamps. I absolutely love this collection so much - being Catholic - as the nativity scene is a big part of our Christmas celebrations. In Manila, Philippines majority of households always have a nativity scene included in their Christmas decorations. And of course we have a nativity play as well :)
I'd like to share a card with all of you today to showcase Tilda as Mary with the baby Jesus. This image just warms my heart :) This card is also especially made for the Magnolia fans from Japan - did you guys know that our dear Tilda and Edwin are so loved in Japan? Isn't that just cool :) I also love Japan! I hope I can go to this magical place in my lifetime.

The Nights are Getting Longer

.. because Christmas is coming :) ..
Preparing for Christmas is always enjoyable. I love doing my Christmas lists, wrapping gifts and doing handmade cards and such. I've never volunteered to cook for Noche Buena (which in our culture is a feast celebrated on Christmas Eve to welcome Christmas day), only because I am not a good cook so I usually just buy something from the bakeshop like cake or pastries .. lol ..
But if I did know how to cook, I would most probably prepare a roasted suckling pig, just like the one my sweet Tilda is cradling in her arms :)

I'm excited this year coz I will be going home to Manila to celebrate with loved ones :)
Apart from Christmas, there are some stuff going on that is going to change my life soon. I'm scared and excited at the same time. But I am looking forward to making something that I have always planned this past few years..

A dream is a wish your heart makes..

Hi guys!
I'd like to share a card I made some days ago. I wanted to do a boy card so I had to restrain myself from using any paper flowers.. lol .. but the girl in me just can't help it :) So I made it more subtle by just using a couple of the fabulous DooHickey dies..
A dream is a wish your heart makes.. It's actually a lyric from a Cinderella song. I love that line because I believe it's true..

Magnolia Day 2012

We all wish we could go.. lol .. But all of us are really excited for the biggest day in Boras this October :)

This will be a fun event to be attended by the wonderful DTs. They will be having tutorials and demos so please if you are nearby, swing by the shop on these days :)
The new collections will also be available on the Boras shop on Magnolia Day so this is going to be so exciting :)

If I had a bajillion dollars I would fly off at this minute and camp out the shop :) lol..
For those who will be coming, enjoy the day :)

Cupid Tilda

The weekend flew by so fast! One moment I was doing the laundry, taking a nap and now at this very moment I am now preparing to go to sleep and thinking of psyching myself up because it's Monday once again :(
But I do not want to consider this as the end of the week but a start of a new wonderful week :) I guess it's all in the mantra of telling yourself it's gonna be a good one :)
So for the beginning of the week I would like to share a card I made last week. Sometimes I forget that I have really amazing stamps from Magnolia from their very early collections but that's only because the new ones keep me occupied most of the time.. lol... For this card, I used this stamp that I bought earlier this year but never got the chance to color. So I finally did :) Isn't this stamp adorable :)

Cheers!

Hi guys!
I am back with a card to share.. My elbow feels a lot better thanks to prayers and some good old medicine and linements :) Must be my age, I may have brittle bones! lol..
Here's a card I made a couple of weeks ago using a very cute stamp from Magnolia :) This stamp is a special release stamp and for you Singapore stampers, it's available at Paper Craft Gardens. Hope you can drop by the shop, they have a wide selection of Magnolia stamps, papers and DooHickey Dies! It's my little haven here in Singapore :) The shop is located at the 3rd floor of Suntec City Mall Tower 3, near the cinema. On a side note, a couple of weeks ago Pauline Bertilsson, the very talented creator of Magnolia stamps, visited the shop together with her whole family. They were in Singapore en route to Australia for the Paperific event. I was pretty bummed out that I didn't get to meet all of them, but I am still happy that they were able to tour this small but amazing country :) Maybe someday I will get to meet them :)
Ok, here's my card :)

Cheers!

Merry Christmas from Coco!

Hello my dear friends!
I feel really sad because I have a muscle strain in my elbow. It has been hurting for a few weeks but never really bothered me however everything changed this week. I couldn't raise my arm or carry anything heavy without flinching in pain. And the bad news is it's my right arm that's hurting which is my dexterity :( So the doctor ordered no heavy lifting, no strenuous activities for my right arm - including coloring for at least a week :( Ugh I am so bummed..
Good thing I have already colored a lot of images :) and I have completed all my assignments including my card for this rounds TOMIC :) We hope you can join us for the fun :)

Little Christmas in August

Hello Magnolia friends! How are you today?
I have been in kind of a card/project rut these past couple of weeks :( I am surrounded with so much project inspirations from Facebook and blogland but I was having so much difficulty doing anything at all.. So sad :( While not having the creative juice I was productive enough though :) I actually colored so many images I can fill up a photo album :) haha..
But -- I found my mojo again :) and once I start I can't stop :) I've made a couple of cards, tags and bookmarks and I am one happy camper :)
Here is a card I'd like to share with you guys using the awesome images from Magnolia's mini collection Little Christmas. I colored my images with Copics :)

One.. Two.. Three Princesses!

Oh my lanta Perla! Has it been almost a month since I last updated my blog?
I was occupied with my mom's visit, work, a lot of personal stuff, medical problems.. It was an unbelievable June with all the trials being thrown my way. But I am still here, still breathing, still living, still crafting :)
I hope you guys have picked up the new Magnolia Ink magazine "Follow Your Dreams" - it's full of fun and beautiful ideas for sports, pets and school. It also marks my first ever published work and it is an absolute dream come true for me :) I am very grateful for the opportunity that Magnolia stamps accorded me. I am very honored to be part of this wonderful team :)

.. it's TOMIC's birthday! ..

TOMIC is celebrating it's one year birthday! We are having an anything goes challenge with several winners to be drawn. The DT is also picking some lucky participants to receive our cards for this challenge! So please join us!
It has been a journey for me as well with TOMIC, a year ago I discovered Magnolia Stamps and my crafting life has never been the same again :) When we were asked to do a card for this week, I thought it would be cool to see how I've changed as far as coloring and card construction as time went by.
So I created a card using Hawaii Tilda, the same stamp I used on my very first Tomic card from last year.
Here's the image from last year:

And here's the image now:

I guess there is an improvement over the year :) lol..
So please join us and we hope to see your cards at the blog!
Thanks for stopping by!
