Sneak Peek

Hi guys! I would like to share 2 cards that I made this week. The first card is featuring a new Magnolia stamp from the collection named Princes and Princesses. They are really adorable :) I can tell you guys right now from this collection that there are stamps featuring a Magnolia family, Tilda and Edwin sporting crowns, royal babies and fanciful animals. I know you guys would love to have every stamp in this collection – believe me coz I am not even making a list, I just want them all :)  It wasn’t intentional but when I finished this card, I realized that I could participate in the TOMIC this week! So please visit TOMIC and send your entries over for a chance to win some really sweet goodies from Magnolia!

The next card is something I have been wanting to do for a while now and it is a pocket card. I’ve seen cards done with this pattern/template and I’d like to make my own spin on it. My parents’ wedding anniversary is coming up and I and my brother decided to give them some vouchers and gift cards that they can use for what they want to purchase. The stamp I used is from the Wedding Collection.

This weekend I will be out with some colleagues to fish/prawn. It will be my first time to go ‘prawning’ – I’ve always thought that to catch a prawn all you needed was a net :)  Maybe I will be proven wrong this Saturday :) Actually all I want to do on my weekends is to sit in front of the tv, watch reality shows, stamp and do cards.. but.. I’ve already said yes to the boss :( A little setback in my weekend plans but that’s okay.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)

.. Because dreams really do come true ..

A week ago, I received an email of a lifetime. I was asked by Asa from Magnolia if I would be interested in joining the Magnolia Design Team. My initial reaction was a scream of delight! I have never felt this much excitement in a very long time and my heart and head is filled with so much joy that I thought I was going to burst! I have been a crafter for quite a while now. I’ve always dreamed of being on a manufacturer’s design team but I knew it was a shot in the moon. I know I can do arts and crafts but the caliber of talent in this craft is just unbelievable. I’ve always viewed this hobby as an outlet for any creativity I may have. Cardmaking makes me happy which for me is the point of why I am doing this  :)  When I am in front of stamps and color and paper and flowers, I transport myself to a happy place. But being a part of this takes it to a whole new level. By some amazing grace, somebody took notice of what I can do and liked it enough to be asked to be a part of a team. It’s really a dream come true.
So I said yes!
I am now a member of the Magnolia Design Team :) I am excited and scared at the same time. I am excited because I am just in love with Magnolia stamps – I love losing my time with them, I love collecting them, looking at my special box of really amazing stamps and creating crafts with them :) But I am also scared because being a part of something as good as this, I am intimidated by the talent that abounds this very special group. A few days ago, I was just a crafter who was amazed at the design teams’ blogs and now.. well .. I am part of the team as I should say. It remains surreal to me.
Being a fan for a long time, the design team are superstars for me. I would read their blogs, see their creations in the magazine, and be challenged thru TOMIC every week. During this week when I was introduced as a new member, they have warmly welcomed me and I would like to thank everybody :) Big hugs to all of you!
I am looking forward to growing as a crafter with this opportunity and I hope in my little way I get to inspire all of you too :)
Thank you for stopping by :)

Magnolia - I do :)

.. something good this way comes ..
Thank you very much for the opportunity, Magnolia!
I am very honored :)

Happy Birthday Edwin!

Hi!
Our lovely boy Edwin is turning a year older :) Happy Birthday Edwin! .. Please don't ask me how old he is, but he will always be a lovely boy! :)
I always related Tilda and Edwin with me and my brother. In a way he is like my brother - playful, happy, carefree. I am always reminded of me and my brother with the different stamp images because in a way we were those kids.. It just fills my heart with so much good family memories :)
Here's a card for TOMIC #36 featuring the sibling stamp from the Sweet Crazy Love collection:

Tilda and Edwin Hug

Stamping: Magnolia Stamp, Prima Stamp, Memento Ink, Copic Markers, Copic Blending Paper, Distress Inks, Versamark Ink, Ranger Silver embossing powder

And here are some close-ups of the cards:
